Chicken Ramen

IMG_0790

I have to confess foodies…..I’ve had ramen once or twice in my lifetime.

I was never really a fan of the taste. My friends and family growing up all enjoyed it, but I could not get paste the saltiness. More recently, I ran across this article from Buzzfeed.  21 Ways To Upgrade Your Instant Ramen .

I figured it if I was going to try ramen again, why not make it delicious! After going through the article, I went with a rotisserie chicken ramen with boiled eggs. If you’re looking for a way to dress up your ramen, try this out!

Ingredients:

3 ramen packs

5 cups of chicken stock

2 cups of water

Rtisserie Chicken

One bunch of green onions

Instructions:

  1. Bring 5 cups of chicken stock to a boil then add water.

  2. Add ramen seasoning. I added in a little garlic salt and onion powder

  3. Add chopped green onions and let broth cook for 2-3 min.

  4. Add in your 3 packs of ramen. Cook until tender.

  5. In a separate pot, boil your eggs.

  6. Slice 4-6 to pieces of rotisserie chicken.

  7. Once ramen is cooked, add to bowl.

  8. Place slices of chicken and boiled eggs on top — Enjoy!

  1. I have never had ramen before but this looks really yummy. Will definitely give it a try. Thanks for the tips.

  2. Actual Japanese ramen, not the instant kind would use bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, spinach, cabbage, and a bunch of other ingredients to compliment the broth, but you included one of the best toppings which is the egg. If you google “aji tama” or “lava egg”, you can try a 6-7 min cooked egg that’s been marinated and it’s nice and gooey inside. Dropping one of those into anything or eating it by itself is sooooo good.
